Lion Sands Game Reserve

The Lions Sands game Reserve (private of course) is very well positioned in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve that just happens to border the World famous Kruger National Park.

Located within this reserve are three fantastic lodges, the newest of which is a lodge called 1933 at Lion sands. A small lodge for family or friends groups that want a lodge to them selves - well 'old chaps' look no further.

The other two lodges being Lion Sands River Lodge and Lion Sands Ivory Lodge, are twoi of the very finest lodges that one could possibly find in the area.

African safari, Africa travel or safari holidays, these phrase all being different all represent one thing i.e. Africa and people wanting to visit. Viewing the wildlife of Africa is most definitely on of the top reasons why tourism to this continent is growing year in and year out.

Destination like the Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Okavango Delta, Namib Desert, Victoria Falls, Serengeti and Masai Mara National Park and the Gorilla's of Uganda are driving thousands and thousand of tourists here every day - Why are you not one of them?

Just one of the many examples that I can offer is a South Africa safari, other than Kenya, South Africa is at the top of the safari ladder when it comes to inbound tourism. South Africa is almost a starter destination for people when they visit Africa for the first time, reasons for this include; direct flights from most European destinations, excellent infrastructure, world class accommodation and some of the finest wildlife reserves on the African continent.

Countries like Malawi, Uganda and Zambia are more specialist destination i.e. people who have traveled most of Africa and are looking for something new or have defined interests e.g. gorilla trekking, walking in the Luangwa valley in Zambia and/ or seeing one of the most beautiful lakes Lake Malawi.

Cape Town hotels and accommodation in the mother city of South Africa

Cape Town commonly known as the mother city (of South Africa anyway), the most popular destination for international tourists when visiting South Africa.

Why? Natural beauty, stunning summers with very little rain, nightlife, restaurants, some of the best wines and vineyards in the world and a little something called good value.

When in Cape Town where do I stay? Lets start of by saying that the Cape Town hotels available are of European standards, an example of this is Kensington Place "In 1999 it appeared in the Top 10 places to Stay in Cape Town in the Conde Naste Traveller, as well as Tatlers Top 101 hotels of the World", who just out of interest have just celebrated their 10th anniversary.

Hotels in Cape Town or at least accommodation offers something for everybody, looking for sea views then the Atlantic Seaboard and the False Bay regions are for you, Views of Table Mountain then look at something in the city centre, accommodation with a country feel then the Constantia area with numerous vineyards on offer.

One aspect of Cape Town that should be remembered is that you can use it as a launching pad for the rest of your African safari. No matter if you are traveling the rest of South Africa, or visiting Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls, Zambia and / or Mozambique, Cape Town offers a first class destination that will provide you with those memories that will last a life time.

Botswana - the true safari capital of Southern Africa

It is without hesitation that I can make this comment, So how do I get to this conclusion - let me explain.

I have personally traveled most regions on this country barring a few isolated locations.

So what does Botswana have that South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe (who is stuffed at the moment), Mozambique ans Zambia aka Southern Africa (SADC). Well quite simple the most organized tourism and National Parks structure of any of the above mentioned countries.

What makes a Botswana safari so unique is the National Parks, who by their very names conjure strong feelings for Africa, Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe National Park, Central Kalahari National Park and lets not forget the like of the Savuti, Linyanti and Selinda regions. Wildlife regions second to none, the only country that can come close is Zambia. A Zambia Safari is old school as Zambia is truely a wild destination if there ever was one.

Cape Town South Africa

Cape Town can be found near the Southern tip of Africa. Rated as one of the most beautiful cities in the world as well as one of the top destinations in Africa and the world.

Cape Town and the Western Cape region of South Africa is mainly a summer travel destination, interestingly this region has a winter rainfall pattern - what I am trying to get at is that there is no rain for the whole of summer! Just sunshine and a touch of wind (well maybe a large touch).

When visiting Cape Town the first and obvious thing that you do is look for is Cape Town accommodation, there are numerous types of accommodation available as well as a numerous destinations within Cape Town itself; e.g

This is Africa's finest city and you will not be disappointed

Africa;

the land sunrise and sunsets,
the land of Elephants, lions and and leopards (to mention only a few),
a photographers paradise,
a destination where childhood fantasies are realized,
the land where well known destinations can be found, i.e. Cape Town, Serengeti, Victoria Falls, Namib Desert just to mention but a few,
and I could go on and on
a South Africa safari is the best for most first time visitor to Southern Africa

So now the question has to be asked, why not and African safari for your next holiday.
