Phinda Forest Lodge lies within 15 000 hectares of Phinda Private Game Reserve (northern sector), in the Maputaland region of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Phinda neighbours the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park to the east and is only 30km due west of the white fringed beaches of the Indian Ocean. ![]() The 16 air conditioned glass chalets at Phinda Forest Lodge are built on stilts and float gently between the rare sand forest floor below and towering torchwood trees above. The chalets are situated to ensure absolute privacy and each bathroom features twin basins, bath, separate shower and separate w.c. All chalets have a personal bar on their private verandah. Twice daily game drives in open game-viewing vehicles, nature walks and excellent birding in the Phinda Private Game Reserve. White rhino tracking with a professional guide are available.
