I found a site today called construction equipment zone.  It is a construction equipment website that has forums and membership.  There are multiple listings of different equipment manufacturers for construction.  There are equipment specs, photos, and profiles.

There are categories like CAT equipment, John Deere equipment and Case equipment.  In each of these categories there is a lot of information to digest.
