Interracial Dating

Interracial dating is a phenomenon that over the last forty years has just kept growing.  In earlier years interracial dating and interracial marriages was something that was strictly taboo.  People did not date interracially and they did not marry interracially.  But when the last of the laws that forbade this was abolished in the early 1970’s the interracial dating craze took off.

With civil rights movement pushing on strong and new laws taking place and old laws being abolished it was a whole new world for people to date interracially.  Men and women of different races never really dated like they started to date in the early years of the 1970’s and the way that they date even today.  The world has seemed to accept interracial dating more and more over the years.  For those people who are older and can remember a time when interracial dating was strictly forbidden it may be strange to see interracial couples.  For those people who can remember how it was before and have seen how interracial dating has become more socially accepted and have themselves grown alright with the idea it may be easier.  When you look at young children and teenagers today who date interracially and they have no concept of anything being any different it is heart warming to see that the world has come to such a good place that people are no longer jailed or worse for dating interracially.

For those people who were brave enough to date interracially in early years it may seem like the world has definitely changed.  They were dating outside of their race when society was still frowning upon it greatly.  Now interracial dating is accepted and most people do not even think about what it was like before.  Before when interracial couples would have to hide and meet in secret out of fear that their families would find out or worse.  Now people are much more accepting and it has created a better place to date interracially.

Today’s youth typically does not see any issue with dating outside of their race. There are people who are not happy about interracial dating but they are a small and ignorant few compared to what society thought years ago.  Youth and older alike but that is what they believe and it has most likely been banged into their heads since they were born. The majority of people today really do not have any issues with interracially dating and it has shown in the statistics that surround interracial dating.  The number of people who have married outside of their race has grown to a enormous amount compared to what it was forty years ago.  The more people that date interracially the more the numbers grow.  Each and every year there are more and more couple who are dating and marrying interracially.

If you look at many of today’s children they themselves are of an interracial couple.  Mulit cultural children are al over the place.  It is very rare to meet someone of a younger generation that is of one race and that is it.  People are glad to embrace all of their races and their entire heritage.  With the world becoming smaller and smaller all of the time it is not hard to understand why race is fading away and people are beginning to just be multi cultural and multi racial.  Interracial dating has a lot to do with all of the multi cultural children that are in the world today and many people in today’s society are ready to embrace more interracial dating and more interracial marriages. One day we may all be of any number of races or even not acknowledge race at all.
