Interracial dating has come a very long way from days of old. Interracial dating today is a much different thing that does not have to be hidden because it is against the law to do so. Because of the interracial dating laws being abolished and people’s views on interracial dating changing significantly over the years it is easy to see how so many people are now part of an interracial dating world.

Interracial dating has jumped immensely from forty years ago. Just forty years has made such a big difference. Think about how many interracial couples you see these days and know that forty or fifty years ago that was not the case at all. There may have been a handful of interracial couples and they may have been found in some very liberal towns but for the most part interracial dating was very much a taboo for many people. people who dated interracially were typically shunned by friends and family and if they lived in a smaller sized town it was usually pretty bad.

Now when you look around you there are interracial couples and interracial dating all over the place. Today’s youth is much more open to date someone of another race than teenagers in the fifties and sixties. In the fifties it was not even heard of and most of the teenagers that you asked may have been very upset by the entire idea. Today when you ask teenagers and young adults what they think about interracial dating they will tell you that they themselves had probably dated someone outside their race or that they know someone who did. It is no longer a very big deal and many people do not see it as any kind of problem.

Interracial dating and interracial marriages are soon to be on their way to being extinct. And that is going to be because people will eventually stop saying interracial dating and just start saying dating. The more that we empower the separation of the races the longer we will have to endure the separation. If we stop giving it power it will go away. We should not have to describe someone by the color or shade of their skin nor should we have to say interracial dating. It should just be dating. This can not be seen in any better scene than it is seen when it comes to the products of interracial dating, the mixed race children or the multi racial children. These children, and there are plenty of them now are a whole new race. They are multi racial and they no longer fit into the little circle that is filled out on so many documents. The race card fails these children for they are of a multirace. I have yet to see a little circle that says multiracial and for that matter why are we even still asking. Soon those questions will have to stop and no longer will people have to choose one race to mark in the little circle. People have got to understand that we are all of one race and eventually hopefully they will see that.

Interracial dating will soon be known as just dating and people will not see a reason to have to label interracial dating as such. Dating will be what people call it and there will be no separation of races or a need to define everything. When today ‘s youth has come such a long way from where the youth of forty years ago were so very quickly, it is nice to think about where the children of forty years from now will be.
