The Sevier County Fair is coming up on September the 3rd through the 8th, 2007. All of the things that you can remember about a hometown fair can be found at this time. Including many of the most thrilling fair rides ever. They also have livestock shows, beauty pageants and home crafts. Many vendors will be serving those famous foods that you can only find on the midway: chicken & dumplins, fried green tomatoes, savory Italian sausage and funnel cakes. Of course there will be plenty of entertainment, concerts, activities and demonstrations - everything from the Petting Zoo and the Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest to the Young Christians Concert and the Battle of the Bands. New this year is the 'Super Hero Search Show'. Come to see Spiderman, Green Goblin, the Incredible Hulk and Storm search for new Junior Super Heroes. Other events include the 'Money Pole', the Turtle Race and the Dog Show. So if you will be in Pigeon Forge in early September, venture on over to the Sevier County fair. If you are from out of town, then visit Smoky Mountain Resorts webiste to book a Pigeon Forge motel online.
