With the popularity of uggs or Ugg boots it is not hard to understand that there is a great desire for some knowledge about the uggs.  One such thing would be for all of those people who already have their uggs and they have one very important question to ask.  How exactly do you clean your Uggs?

People need to know how to clean their ugg boots because when you have a pair of the most comfortable boots in the world you will find that you are always wearing your uggs.  Eventually your ugg boots will start to get very dirty and they may even start to smell after you have been wearing them a long time.  Everyone loves their uggs and they would never want to get rid of them so they have to find ways to clean their ugg boots.

There are several ways to clean your ugg boots.  The first way is to purchase some of the suede or leather cleaner that shoe and boot makers suggest.  These cleaning products tend to work very, very well on the majority of Ugg boots.  The cleaning products truly work great however there may be one problem.  The suede and leather cleaning products tend to be a little more expensive than most people would like it to be.  So even though these products work fantastically it may not be worth it to some people to spend that kind of money on cleaning your Ugg boots.  The expensive cleaners are the ones that boot makers or people who repair shoes and boots use.  These products work very well but as you will see there are less expensive ways to accomplish the same thing.

By finding a cleaning product that is safe for suede or leather but not the version that is very expensive you can clean your ugg boots to perfection.  As long as you follow some very simple steps that is.  First you should collect all of the items that you will need to clean your ugg boots and make them good as new.  You will need some kind of suede or leather cleaning product however you do not need the industrial strength products that professionals use. You will also need either quite a bit of newspaper or paper towels.  You will need to have a suede brush, several sponges, some cold water, and flour and baking soda.  You may even need a little bit of an essential oil but that is optional.

First what you want to do is to dampen the outside of the boot.  You never want to submerge the entire ugg into water because it will be ruined right away.  So slightly dampen the boot with cold water.  After that you can take your cleaning product that you have already diluted with water and rub that on your ugg boot with a sponge.  You will want to make sure that you get the entire outside of the boot otherwise you will have some clean spots and some very dirty spots on your uggs.  After  you have put the diluted cleaning solution on you will want to wipe it away and any dirt along with it with a clean sponge that has been dipped in clean cold water. 

After you have cleaned the boot you will want to stuff it with the paper products of your choice.  You must make sure that you stuff it properly so the boot will keep its shape.  Then you simply put the boot somewhere it can dry naturally.  If the inside of the boot smells then take the baking soda and put it inside the boot and then let it sit over night dumping out the excess in the morning.  If that does not rid the smell from your ugg boot you may want to use a bit of essential oil in it.  And that is how you safely clean your ugg boots.
