Google Pagerank Update So Delayed

My friends have been wondering at the massive delay in pagerank update. I've been checking my pagerank and it's still at PR1.  Backlinks have been increasing however and I see some interesting keyword finds to this blog.

My other sites still sit on PR4 despite having doubled the backlinks!

Perhaps it's time to bring in some SEO experts to provide search engine optimization services. Geez. This waiting is killing me.
