2009-Mar-12 - Finding the perfect baby shower invitation
Have you ever noticed that when one person you know gets pregnant there just always seems to be a whole bunch of other people who also suddenly are pregnant? This can and does lead to a lot of baby showers all occurring at or around the same time. This happens to me quite frequently. If it is not my friends having babies it would be the girls from work or people that I know from the gym or just where ever they seem to be. With all of this being said it is safe to say that I have seen my fair share of baby shower invitations.
The baby shower invitations I have seen have been quite numerous. There have been baby shower invitations that were just plain and straight to the point and then there were baby shower invitations that were quite elaborate and quite frankly a little hard to understand what they were. And of course there have been many lovely baby shower invitations ranging in between those two extremes. So when it came time to help a friend of mine by throwing her a baby shower I was already schooled in the art of what not to get as far as baby shower invitations go.
She is a wonderful person and she deserved to have the very best baby shower that I could do. And when thinking about the baby shower invitations I was not thinking about what I would like (well ok a little bit) but mostly what my friend would like. She is a very creative and “artsy” type of a person and enjoys many forms of art. She is also someone who enjoys the color pink a great deal. And believe me it helped out a great deal when she found out she was having a girl. Everything had to be pink from then on. So the color of the baby shower invitations was already chosen and it would be pink of course. But I still had to choose a style of baby shower invitations.
Now through my own travels of baby showers and the experience of their invitations I have some seen very “artsy” baby shower invitations. And to say the least I did not care for them and more importantly I know my friend would not approve of them at all. So my mission was set, I had to find some artsy and pink baby shower invitations. I knew that the only way to find what I needed was to hit the internet and so I began my search for the most unique and pink baby shower invitations I could find there.
Thankfully the internet is full of web sites that specialize in baby shower invitations and I found a site right away. I browsed many of the categories of invitations for quite some time and eventually I found one that I thought was absolutely perfect for my friend’s baby shower. They were pink of course and they were made in such a way that there was a 3-D cut out of a baby stroller with many other little things dangling from the invitations. These were perfect. They were not too much and they were not tacky in any way and they gave off just the right air of artsy for my friend. All I had to do was to add the information about the shower into the web site and the company created them for me right away. Within a week I had the perfect baby shower invitations for my friend and was able to send them out to all of her friends and family. Everyone just loved them and commented upon how perfect they were.
