After renting a house in Bangkok for over 5 years now, I can honestly say that you get much better value in terms of space over renting an apartment. The rent of a basic 3 bedroom house on Sukhumvit, measuring over 200 sqm starts around 35,000 bht. Now rent a 3 bedroom apartments measuring 200 sqm in the same area. That will cost you double the rent of a 3 bedroom house and you don't even get a garden! If you have a family, and space is important to you, then considering renting a house in Bangkok instead.
