Another important part of a strategy would be to make wise bets.  Start off with the wiser bets and then as you increase your stack of chips you can begin to get into the riskier types of bets if you would like to.  That does not mean that you automatically have to go to the riskier bets but if you feel like you want to then wait until after you have established a decent size stack of chips.  Now some people may want to just jump out of the box with the higher paying bets but if you start off slowly and wise you will be able to increase your money and once you are over the amount that you wanted to get you can begin to make some of the higher paying bets.
