Getting Rid Of Those Convictions - Posted at 07:59 on 2008-Jan-9 by Duncan Carver

Nobody wants to have a record out there stating that they are a criminal, but it happens. When you have convictions than you have a criminal record. If you have a criminal record it your potential employer that you are trying to get a job from has access to this criminal record. They are going to use this to make their final decision on whether or not you get the job. And we both know how that is going to end up now don’t we.

But applying for a job is not the only thing that is going to be difficult, there are so many other things that you wouldn’t even think of. I know that I didn’t. Did you know that if you have a criminal record it’s going to be very hard for you to go to college, or get a license and these are just a few of the difficulties that you are facing.

So what can you do to make your life easier and begin moving past your convictions and begin a fresh clean slate?

The first thing that you need to do is contact a lawyer and discuss sealing your criminal record. Once your criminal record is sealed it’s going to be as if you never did a single thing. This is going to finally give you the chance to begin getting your life back, and making things right for you and your entire family.

Listen I don’t want to get your hopes up, there are some instances when you are unable to seal your record, or expunge your record, but you are not going to know if you can’t unless you talk to an attorney.

When you expunge your criminal record this doesn’t mean that you are erasing it. That just is not possible. Expunging your record is kind of like putting your criminal record in a safe place in case they need to find it again, judges are really the only ones that will be able to access this, law enforcement are not. But not just anyone can find it. If you get your criminal record expunged, and then you go on a job interview. When the employer runs a background check they are going to find absolutely nothing on you. It will say that there is no criminal record that exists for you. That’s a great thing isn’t it? Well it’s possible.

There are many lawyers on the internet that can help you to seal your criminal record. All you need to do is begin researching and learning more about the process, and find a good lawyer that will not cost you an arm and a leg, but will be very effective in getting your criminal record expunged. When you are searching for a lawyer online it’s important that you make sure that you are looking at a lawyer that is in your state.

Sealing your criminal record is going to give you the ability to get that dream job that will allow you to finally make some really good money. Or go back to school so that you can land that good paying job in the field that you love. The only way you are going to know if you are eligible for expungement is by talking to someone that is qualified to tell you. And the only people that are qualified to tell you is going to be a lawyer. You have so many to choose from online, and if you are not comfortable with finding an online lawyer, just open the yellow pages and find one.
