Jet Lag Can Be A Pain
Jet lag is one of the most unfortunate things about traveling, and it’s very common especially on very long flights, such as flights to London. The reason that so many people will suffer from jet lag is because of the time difference that you are dealing with.
You might have already experienced some sort of jet lag already if you have traveled to another country. Some of these symptoms will include insomnia, it becomes difficult to eat because you feel nauseas, an upset stomach, headaches, and basically just completely tired. These things can really put a damper on your vacation. It’s frustrating because you spend months waiting for this moment to come, and it’s kind of difficult to completely enjoy the fact that you are in another country.
You can do some researching on the internet and you will find that there are many different things that people say will help to prevent and even cure jet lag. Some of these things will include a magic little pill that will make everything all better. Sorry but this just is not the way that it works, unfortunately. And imagine trying to take something that they are claiming will help only to find out the hard way that it has made you feel worse and now you are completely unable to do anything at all. What a waste of a trip, don’t you think.
Let’s take a look at how jet lag really works. I will put it into laymans terms because I myself do not really understand the technical part. Your body is on a schedule no matter what type of schedule that may be, and when you travel to a different time zone your body is going to need to readjust itself to the new time zone. So if you are use to sleeping when it’s the brightest time of the day in London then it’s going to confuse your body, and as a result of this confusion you suffer from jet lag.
There are some things that you can do that will greatly reduce your jet lag, so don’t worry. And this can be done without pumping melatonin and many other wonder pills into your body that could very well only increase the horrible feelings that you get from jet lag.
The best place to start to reduce your jet lag symptoms is with your traveling plans. This means that you will want to choose specific flights that will help you adjust much easier to the time difference. You want to stay away from flights that are much longer then they need to be. Keep this in mind, the longer the flight the more chance that you have of suffering from jet lag. So when you are searching make sure you are checking that box that says shortest flights. You will also want to be sure that you are booking flights that does not have many layovers and stops. This ties into the shortest flights section, but I have to mention this.
When you are on your flight you will want to do the best you can make your adjustment to the place that you will be flying into. So if you are on the plane when it’s day time where you will be going then do your best to stay awake. If it’s night time there then go to sleep. This is why taking melatonin will help, but only if you need to go to sleep. Doing this will help you to adjust easier. So when you land in your destination area you will be able to either go to the hotel and get ready to go out, or go to the hotel and shower and go to bed.
These tips and tricks will most certainly help to greatly reduce jet lag. You can find many other’s by searching the internet.
