| Blackjack has got to be the most popular gambling game in the world. Blackjack has become the game that everyone wants to play when they go to a casino. Playing blackjack is fun and it is exciting. And most of all it is not difficult to play blackjack at all. The game of blackjack also gives some pretty good odds to the players and that may be why it is so very popular. Blackjack did not start off as the most popular game and when it was first played no one would have ever thought blackjack would be as popular as it is today. But popular it is. Blackjack was in fact one of the least popular games that was played in the casinos in the west, the game of blackjack just did not take to many people. Until they changed a few of the rules. Once the rules were changed and there was a higher payout on getting a hand that equals twenty one with a black jack as one of the cards the popularity of the game took off. Once the rules changed and blackjack was given with a higher payout people just gravitated towards the game and after some years it became the game that we all know and love today. Blackjack is one of the easiest games to play and that may also add to the popularity of the game. It is very easy to try and get your cards to total twenty one but not go over. Well maybe it is not the easiest thing to do but when the game is played correctly it seems that way. The rules are not hard to follow at all. When you are playing blackjack or "twenty one" you must simply get your cards to equal twenty one or as close as you can to it with out going over and you must also get a higher totaled hand as the dealer. When this happens you will win the hand. If you go over twenty one you will do what is called "bust" that means that you automatically lose and the hand is over for you. If you beat the number that the dealer has then you will win the hand and get paid. When you have blackjack you will get paid your original bet plus another half of the original bet. This is great when people get blackjack. You can turn your cards over right away and tell the dealer that you have blackjack. That is always so much fun to do and when you get a blackjack every one at the table is typically very happy for you. Getting blackjack is always a relief for everyone because you know that you have won the hand right away and you typically get your money right away. If you are not really familiar with the game of blackjack and you are staying at a casino you may want to find out if the casino is offering any blackjack classes at all. These classes are wonderful and the casino will actually teach you the rules of playing blackjack. After the class is over sometimes the casino will even give you some chips to play with to start you off on your way down the blackjack path. This is great because you can begin to play your first hand of blackjack with the casinos money and then hopefully you will be able to continue to get some of the casinos money by winning a lot of blackjack hands. | Gambling is such an exciting pastime. Places like Monte Carlo, Atlantic City and of course the beautiful and sometimes sinful Las Vegas are always full of people who are just so excited about gambling. People that go there for vacations or weekend getaways, people that live there are out on the town to do a little gambling and blow off a little steam at the end of a work week and even people who are in town for some sort of celebration are just ready to have a good time. Gambling can consist of many games and as soon as you enter onto a casino floor you can feel all of the excitement. Walking the casino floors you can see all of the people that are gambling and having a great time. Stopping to watch some tables can be fun for a little bit and when you decide to head over to the loudest and most exciting table it will probably be the craps table. At the craps table you will hear the gamblers yelling and being quite rowdy. You may see a lot of high fives and a lot of cheering going on. The craps table is probably the table with the highest energy in the whole casino and that is where everyone wants to be. However there are many people that dare not venture over to the craps table and that is out of fear. They fear the not knowing how to play craps. But that is easily fixed. Now one of the most important things for anyone to remember about playing craps is that the odds are probably the best for the player in the whole casino. You see any bet on the pass line will give 1.41 odds. That is some pretty low house odds and how can you pass that up, I will tell you, you can not pass it up so you may as well start learning how to play craps and become one of those screaming people that you see and hear in the casino. There is a ton of different ways that you can bet when you are playing craps but when you are first starting out all you really have to do is worry about the pass line betting. That is all. Because even thought there are a lot of ways that you can place a bet many of them have just horrible odds and are not even worth betting. But every now and again it is quite exciting just to put down a crazy bet and maybe you will just win it. Buy by playing safe at first you can still have a whole lot of fun when you are playing craps. You will want to place your pass line bet before the shooter rolls his or her first roll of the dice or what is called their come out roll. So once your bet is placed the rules are simple. If the shooter rolls a seven or an eleven you win. If the shooter rolls a two, a three, or a twelve you lose the bet. However if the shooter rolls any other number that number then becomes the point. Once a point is established the shooter rolls again. Now if the shooter rolls the point number again before they rolls another seven you win the bet. If the shooter throws a seven though before the point number is rolled you lose the bet. That is it and that is not very difficult at all now is it. Once you get the basics of craps you can play along just like everyone else and get crazy while you are playing. |

Because gambling and especially craps is so popular many people love to play it. Instead of being one of those people who are always watching shouldn't you be one of the people who are playing and winning while having a great time doing it. Last time we went over the very basics of craps and the shooter. This time we can expand a little more and go over some more aspects of the basics of craps.
So we had left off with the basics of rolling the pair of dice and what the outcome would be when certain numbers are rolled. First of all there are a few ways to place a bet in craps. You can place a bet about what the out come of the round will be. That means that you can place a bet on whether or not the "point" will come up again or the shooter will get a seven. You can also make a bet on whether or not a certain total will come up or a certain total will come up before a seven does. You make these bets by placing a certain amount of chips down on the table.
Now moving onto all of the people who will work the craps game. Craps is unlike any other casino game in the fact that there are many people who have to work the table in order for the game to function correctly. There are four people who work the craps table in a casino. They are called a stickman, a boxman and there are two base dealers. A stickman is the person who stands at one end of the craps table across from the boxman and his or her job is to yell out the outcome of each roll. After that they are responsible for collecting the die with a long stick. Hence the stickman name. The stickman is also in charge of any bets that are placed at the far end of the craps table. The boxman is the person who is in charge of the chips, both guarding them and handing them out. The boxman is also in charge of supervising the dealers. Now the two base dealers are in charge of collecting the chips and also handing out the chips for the previous bets.
There are certain rules that the casino employees who are in charge of the craps game will fill you in on. First there will be the fact that when there is a new shooter the stickman will show the person five dice. Of those five dice the new shooter will pick two of them. This is meant to prevent any kind of cheating. Also the shooter will be informed to make sure that when he or she throws the two dice that they must hit a part of the wall that is surrounding the table and bounce back. If one of the die goes off the table a new one will be picked out from the remaining three that are left. If for any reason the shooter insists on using the one that flew off the table they may as long as the dice passes an inspection by the boxman. All of these rules are again used to make sure that there is no cheating in craps. People love to cheat the casinos and they will use every effort to make sure that there is absolutely no kind of cheating going on. The casino employees always want to make sure that there are no loaded dice being used and that no shooter is trying to make a controlled throw. But mostly they are there to play the game with you and give you a big stack of chips if needed. |

Casino craps is a very popular game. Playing craps in a casino can be a really fun way to make some fast money. I have to say though I feel that the best way to learn how to play the game of craps is to actually take lessons on how to play craps in a casino. Some of the basics about craps that you should know though are very simple. First the game is played with a pair of dice. One person will throw the pair of dice down the craps table and this person is called the "shooter". Craps is a game that is played in rounds. So the first round that the shooter throws is called the "come out roll". This roll is the very first of the rounds. If the shooter rolls the two dice and the total of both are 2,3,7,11,or the number 12 then the round ends right there and then and another come out roll is thrown. If a 2, or a 3, or a 12 is rolled it is called craps and the numbers 7 and 11 are called a "natural" or sometimes those two numbers are called a "win". On the come out roll if a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or a 10 is rolled then that number becomes what is known as the "point". Ok so now the shooter will roll again and if there was a point on the come out roll the shooter will need to roll the dice over and over again until either the point is rolled again or a seven is rolled. Now if the point is rolled again then the round ends and the shooter continues to roll the dice. If however a seven is rolled then this is called a "seven out" then the round ends and the shooter will pass the dice to the next person on their left. Then this person now becomes the new shooter.
Now craps is not a confusing game once you have the basics of the whole game. There are plenty of people who love it and even though there is a lot to remember about how to play the game after a while it is all second nature.
