Blackjack Can Be Intimidating

When walking through a casino all the blackjack tables can be a bit over whelming at first. You need to choose which blackjack table you should play at. Some of the tables are empty with a blackjack dealer standing in front of a spread out deck of cards waiting for any one to come up and start playing. Some of the other tables have a full table with almost all the seats taken and then there are the blackjack tables that only have one or two players at them. As you walk by them all you need to decide what table to go to and play.

Your mind races with thoughts of which table will give you the best chances of winning. Do you go to the full table or the empty one? There are many facts that race around your brain and scream out for you to decide. One way to get rid of all this indecision is to educate yourself first. Learn as much as you can about casino blackjack or "21".

One thing to look for when trying to pick a blackjack table is the amount of the bet. The bet is how much you will bet each hand. All tables will have a clearly posted sign saying how much the minimum bet will be. There are blackjack tables that have $3 and $5 as their minimum bets. You can bet anywhere up from there. There are tables that have very high bets as their minimum and there is even a high rollers room where there are very, very high bets made. Most of the crowded tables you see when you walk around a casino are the lower minimum bet tables. They are the $3 and $5 bets. If you are a beginner at blackjack you may want to pick a table that uses multi decks for playing. There are other tables that use only single decks. They are posted on the tables. Multi deck is harder to win on but easier for a new blackjack player to play on.

Another thing to do as far as picking a blackjack table to play at is to watch the players. Take a bit of time and decide which table is playing at your speed. Some player play their hands quite fast and other players that play at that level are attracted to that table. If you are new to playing blackjack you may want to find a table that has a slower pace. Sometimes blackjack players who play at a faster speed get a bit annoyed with players that hold them up and are slower. If you are a bit more experienced or are comfortable playing at their speed than find a faster table, otherwise find one that has a slower play.

When looking for a table make sure that you are choosing one that you will not go broke on after a few hands. You want to make sure that the table minimum is %5 of your bank roll. That way you can play for a while without loosing all of your money and not having a chance to win it back.

Once you have picked a table you will need to buy some chips to play with and make your bets. You must wait for the dealer to stop with a hand. Once the dealt hand has been played you may put your money down on the table and ask the dealer to give you some chips for your cash. You may then place your first bet.

Just remember to do a little bit of research about blackjack before you actually sit down and play a hand. There are a few things to learn and if you have any questions feel free to ask the dealer or even other players. Most blackjack players will be more than happy to help a new comer to the game.
