Since I am lucky enough to live in a city as wonderful as Las Vegas I have to say that I love being able to fully take advantage of all the gambling that is offered here.  I especially love betting on sports.  Sports' betting is one of my favorite things to do when I want to gamble.

 

It is so easy to place a sports bet when you live in Las Vegas.  All you really have to do is go down to one of the many casinos whether it is a strip casino or one of the local casinos that are located all over the city, and place your sports bet in any of the sports books.  Almost every casino has a sports book because it is one of the most popular ways to gamble.  Every day you will see a plethora of people in any given sports book just watching the game and enjoying themselves with a cold drink, and waiting to win their bets.  It is a favorite past time of many of my closest friends. 

 

There is nothing like the excitement when you are going down to place a bet for the week or the day, it just depends on what you are sport you are betting on.  When betting on baseball or basketball I have to say that I do not do it as regularly as I would like. There are just so many games that getting down to the casino everyday to place the sports bet on each and every game gets to be a little difficult sometimes.  But I do try to get there and place my bets as often as I can.  This is always exciting and makes the games that I watch much more exciting.  You can really get into the game even if you do not have a sports bet down but when you have a bet going the game takes on a whole new meaning.

 

I will say my absolute favorite time of the year though is when football season starts.  On football games I bet every week.  This is my favorite sports bet to make.  The sports books can sometimes get packed if you choose to go down on the wrong day and place your sports bet.  But that is all part of the fun of placing sports bets. 

 

Football season brings everyone out though especially the first couple of weeks.  People are excited to make their sports bets on a new season.  There are some people who bet their favorite teams to win and there are those people like myself who will avoid their home team at any cost and will just not make a bet on any game that their favorite team in playing in.  you can not be open to odds of winning when your heart wants your favorite team to win, so I have found that it is just best to not bet on my own team and there are many others that follow that rule also.  There are people who have certain rituals about betting on football too.  They may get a sheet every week at the same time from the sports book and then go down on the same day every week and place their sports bets.  While watching the games they may lay out all of their bets so they can see them all and there are many, many types of rituals that people do when they are placing or have already placed a sport bet.  It makes it all so much more exciting.

 

Placing sports bets seems to be the favored past time of many people I know that live in Las Vegas.  For those people who are not lucky enough to live somewhere there is legalized betting you can always look into sports betting online and see what you can dot with that.
