There are tons of books and DVD's and all kinds of videos that are created and sold to teach people how to play the game of blackjack. Not only are they created to show people how to play blackjack but people buy these tools all of the time. Blackjack does not need to be taught through a DVD or a complete course of blackjack classes. Blackjack is a simple game and once you learn the basics you pretty much have the gist of the great game of blackjack and start to play all that you can. Blackjack can be easily learned and easily played. Of course if someone is going after a professional blackjack player career the more years that you put into learning your craft the better it will be for you. You can not believe that you will learn something and two weeks later be the best or one of the best that there is in your field. Professional blackjack is no different, you must learn the game and then practice as much as possible to keep on learning the game. This is the only way that you can play at a professional blackjack level. But if you are just someone who enjoys playing blackjack recreationally or someone who is early on in your process of becoming a professional blackjack player you just want to play the game. With each hand of blackjack that you play you gain more and more experience and make your game of blackjack that much better. Playing blackjack is very easy once you know the simple and basic rules of the game. At first there is no need to really get a blackjack strategy but the further you get on in your blackjack career you may want to try a few different strategies but in the beginning you just want to learn how to play. When you first start to play blackjack and even when you have been playing blackjack for a long time you want one thing. That one thing is to win some money. No one gambles with the intentions of losing their money, people want to win some money. So once you have the basics of blackjack down you can go to the second level of knowledge. The basics just include what the card values are and the idea of trying to get to the total of twenty one with your cards but not going over twenty one. You also want to beat what the dealer has in his or her hand. Those are the basics. Now in between the basics and the advanced there is another level. In this level we can discus splits and double downs. You can learn a little bit more here and retain this information for when you become a blackjack professional. First you must know that if a dealer's up card is a seven or more than a seven you should continue to hit or take more cards until you get at least a seventeen total of all your cards. Once you reach a seventeen you should stop. If you get more than that it is always better but you do not want to risk busting on a hand like that. If the dealer's up card is a six or lower than stop hitting your hand when you reach a twelve. I know the urge to keep hitting is very high but the dealer will most likely bust and you will win the hand. You will want to double down when your hand totals a ten or an eleven when it is first dealt. Only do this thought when the dealer's up card is a nine or lower. Otherwise it is just a waste of your time and your money. You will always want to split aces and also eights. Any other cards you should not really split. These simple next step basics will help you to gain the money that you after from playing a good game of blackjack and not allow you to lose as much. |
