Eurostar has now moved from Waterloo to a new London home at the restored St Pancras International where services resumed on Wednesday at 11.01.

The company's 15-hour move to St Pancras which took place overnight has enabled journey times across to the Continent to be cut by at least 20 minutes by using High Speed 1, the UK's first high-speed line.

The Channel Tunnel passenger service started international rail services from London Waterloo Station on November 14 1994. Since then it has carried more than 81 million passengers on approximately 230,000 trains. The service began with two trains a day which operated between London, Paris and Brussels.

Direct-Hotels.co.uk offer excellent hotels in London and also offer hotels in Paris and Brussels.
