Travelodge News! Travelodge launches "Cuddillow" the UK’s first cuddling pillow

In response to its solo travelling customers who find it difficult to sleep on their own, Travelodge has created "Cuddillow" the UK’s first cuddling pillow.

A survey of 2000 solitary travellers by Travelodge UK showed 57% of respondents felt lonely when sleeping without their partner whilst away from home. 16% said they found it difficult to fall asleep and 9% of respondents felt scared sleeping on their own.

To help lone guests get a good night sleep Travelodge has created the "Cuddillow" a cuddling pillow which is 2.5 ft long and has two arms for guests to snuggle into. The "Cuddillow" will make it's debut in lodges in Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Durham and Manchester and will be free of charge for guests to hire.

Wayne Munnelly who is Travel Lodges Sleep Director said: "Our research identified staying away on your own can be lonely, stressful and it plays havoc with your sleep routine. In response to our findings we have developed the "Cuddillow" - It’s a substitute hug to help you to get a good night sleep".
