What do you know about vending machine repair? Before you
decide to invest in them you really need to evaluate your
skills in this area. If you don't have them you need to be
willing to learn because it will be a very important part of
your vending machine business. You can't make money if your
machines aren't working as they should. Even new machines
will have some problems but they are generally less than
when you are working with used vending machines.

It is important to take a look at all of your vending
machines on a weekly basis. Do more than just stock them and
move on to the next one. Take the time to check over the
vending machine. Put some change in it and make sure you get
your product. Put in a dollar and make sure you get your
change back. Count the amount of money in the vending
machine and compare it to the number of items sold. If you
have more money than items gone then people are getting
ripped off from your vending machines.

Any vending machines that you purchase should accept both
dollar bills and change for the convenience of the customer.
You don't want to lose sales because one of these acceptors
of payment doesn't work well. Which ever method they use
needs to be giving them back their change. Even if they only
lose $.10 or $.25 every time they use the vending machine it
will add up. For many consumers this is a sore spot and they
will stop using your vending machine. It is important when
you adjust prices for your products that you program the
vending machine to give them back the right amount of
change.

When a customer approaches a vending machine they expect to
have a fast and easy transaction. They want to be able to
insert their money, make their selection, and walk away with
their product. Sometimes this doesn't happen though and the
consumer has to put more money in because their product
wasn't received. If they think their item is stuck they will
rock or kick the machine to get it to fall into the
dispenser. This can cause damage to your vending machines
even if the consumer is only trying to get what they paid
for.

Put your contact information on the vending machine so that
consumers can reach you if they want to report problems with
a vending machine. This way you will know about it before
your scheduled day to service the vending machine. Chances
are they are only going to call you for major problems
though such as a drink machine that is no longer serving
cold drinks.

Most people aren't going to call you to report that the
vending machine simply took their money. They may not think
too much about it the first time that it happens. However,
if they go back a few days later and lose their money again
they are definitely going to be annoyed. Chances are they
won't be going back to see if it happens to them a third
time. Don't take the loss of any of your vending machine
customers lightly.

You will find in this type of business that your profits
depend on the steady flow of repeat customers. They are only
going to put their money into those vending machines that
have been good in providing them with what they pay for and
giving them back their change that is due.

Most people are willing to forgive an occasional glitch with
a vending machine they use. In fact, it is to be accepted
from time to time. Yet if they aren't sure if they are going
to get their product or their change on a regular basis they
will stop taking that risk. If you don't have the necessary
skills to fix your vending machines you need to learn them.
It is very important for the success of your business. It is
also expensive to rely on an outside source to take care of
this for you.
