Kansas is not only the home of the red slippers from the Wizard of Oz, but it also invites gamblers to stroll along its yellow brick road to its fascinating casinos too!  In the state of Kansas there are not one, but five casinos you card holding slot playing folks can visit.  You can locate the casinos in Horton, Mayette, Powhattan, and White Cloud.  These are vast tourist attractions in Kansas, and all who visit the state, gamblers or not should stop by one or more of these casinos to try their luck or just to simply enjoy a bite to eat in a glamorous lighted facility.   The gambling and entertainment in Kansas does not cease at the casinos, but they too have horse tracks too!  Don’t forget about the famous Kansas’ Wichita Grey Hound Park in Valley Center.   

Kansas allows both tourist and residents to enjoy the profoundly growing sport of gambling.  Gambling has become so popular that people decide to plan their vacations around the idea of, What Kanasas City hotels have casinos? How many miles from my vacation site is the location of a casino?  As for the residents, or the people who are thinking of living in this state, the casinos offer many employment opportunities.   When people think about where they are going to live they also have to think of how they are going to make a living.  The job opportunities in a casino are almost endless.  The hotel has many jobs ranging from receptionist at the front desk, to accountants to housekeeping and a whole lot more.  For the restaurant workers of the world there is many jobs available within the dining of the casinos too.  If you are into dealing a card game, well there is a job for you there also.  There are many more jobs that are needed to run a reputable casino.  The casinos help the state of Kansas in many ways. Economically they help bring the cash flow into the state.  The casino attracts people from all over the world to come and spend their money right here in the state of Kansas. 

 
Like all other casinos, the Kansas casinos offers all kinds of gaming.  The slots are endless.  Then you have the card games which include; Blackjack, Craps, Poker, Roulette, Bingo, 3 card poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Double Deck Blackjack, Let it Ride, and Texas Shoot Out.  Along with the gaming you may enjoy in all the casinos there is also  many different eateries.  The dining ranges from buffets to fine dining and all in between.   
 
In Horton there is the Golden Eagle Casino which is open 24 hours 7 days a week.  This is a 45,000 Square foot gaming area with 777 slot machines and 20 card table games.  This also features two different restaurants.  In Mayette there is the Potawatomi Nation Bingo which is open various hours and days.  This features 60 slot machines and one restaurant.  There is also the Prairie Band Casino and Resort which is open 24 hours 7 days a week.  This casino is 34,878 square feet and has 1,154 slot machines and 30 poker tables.  This is also a hotel with 297 rooms and three restaurants.  In Powhattan there is the Sac and Fox Casino which is also open 24 hours 7 days a week.  This facility is 40,000 square feet featuring 500 slots and 9 poker tables.  This casino also has 3 restaurants.  Lastly in White  Cloud there is the Casino White Cloud which is open various hours and days extending 21,000 square feet.  This casino features720 slots and 6 poker tables and one restaurant.

In a whole, Kansas is a magnificent vacationing site for the gambles, diners, and family amusement.  Just go down the yellow brick road and try your luck out at any one of these great casinos!

Kansas City restaurants are infamous for diversity.  There are many kinds of restaurants in Kansas City.  All you need to do is walk down a street and find pretty much all you want.  There are many ethnic food restaurants such as Italian, Mexican, or Chinese.  These are all wonderful choices.  There are also many steak houses or BBQ places to go to and try.  It really depends on your taste at the moment. 

There are different districts in Kansas City.  The restaurants all vary depending on where you are in the city.  The downtown or the convention center area of town will have again a wide variety to choose from.  There is Arthur Bryant’s BBQ.  You just can’t get away from BBQ in Kansas City.  There are bistros and café galore in that district.  There are also the areas of town like Crown Center or Country Club Plaza. Here you can find Benton’s Steak & Chop House.   Crown Center is mostly a retail and commercial district.  It is referred to as the retail/restaurant center. There are also many fine taverns here. 

All over Kansas City restaurants are everywhere.  With such a growing community that is so enriched with history, it is hard to not find what you desire.  When dining out has become such a popular thing to do it is necessary to have a widely diversified arena to choose from.  Of course it is not just the food that will cause someone to choose a restaurant in Kansas City, it is also the atmosphere.  If you the find the need for a quiet booth set aside from all the noise of a big city and perhaps just sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying a nice seafood dish, there is that option.

Finding ethnic food in the Northeast area of Columbus Park is pretty easy.  This area is historically an Italian-American part of town.  Some very fine home made Italian food can be found here.  For the taste of grandma’s sauce you may want to look around this area.  The area has recently more recently found Vietnamese and Southeast Asia immigrants flocking here.  Again there is some very tasty food to be found here. 

Kansas City is famous though for their BBQ.  Many restaurants throughout Kansas City boast their BBQ is the best.  There are over 100 BBQ restaurants in Kansas City spread throughout the city.  That gives you a wide variety of choices to where you can get your BBQ.  Many restaurants boast old home made recipes that will give “their” BBQ the best flavor.  If you have the time (and the stomach) you just may have to travel to each spot and see for yourself who has the best BBQ.

BBQ has indeed made Kansas City restaurants famous.  It has been a food that everyone loves.  While many people BBQ in their own homes and throw some great parties with some great food, not everyone has the same skill at grilling food as others.  That is when you find your BBQ restaurants calling to you.  There have been some BBQ restaurants in Kansas City that have started as small town places.  They have grown into nation wide franchises.  And as they have grown they have brought the Kansas City taste to a whole nation.

There are hundreds of different restaurants, and there are more then 100 barbeque restaurants in Kansas City, this is one of the many reasons that it is known as the capital of the world. It’s always great to get some delicious bbq chicken, or a bbq rib sandwich and Kansas City offers the best mouth watering bbq food that you can ever imaging eating.

But barbeque food is not the only type of food that you can find in Kansas City, there are a variety of different foods that you can find, such as great steak houses, and even sushi. Yes that’s right I said sushi.

This city is getting bigger and bigger and with that comes better food and more restaurants. And there is no lack of great Kansas City dining and plain Kansas City fun.

Let’s take a look at some of the best restaurants in the Kansas City area:

If you are looking for a great sushi experience then you can find many different Kansas City restaurants that will offer you a great dining experience, and a lot of them offer you a good variety of food types. Such as Ichiban, this restaurant has both sushi as well as steak. This was a great place for me and my wife, because she is a huge steak eater and I am all about sushi. There is also great entertainment. Another restaurant that me and my wife enjoyed was Kona Grill they had some great sushi and for my wife they offered a variety of American dishes to please her. These are just two of the Kansas City restaurants that we will visit when we visit Kansas City. We will try one or two new restaurants every time that we visit and we visit a few times a year because this is where her entire family is. Some other good sushi places are Kona Grill, Sushi House & Jun’s, Nara, Matsu, and Friend’s Sushi & Bento Box.

Alright now that we know all about the sushi places, now we can take a look at some other types of Kansas City Restaurants. BBQ food is the number one reason that I love visiting this city, of course besides seeing my wife’s family. This truly is the barbeque capital of the world. LC’s BBQ is one of my absolute favorite barbeque restaurants and men I don’t suggest taking your any first dates here. There is no way around making a mess out of yourself. This is one good sign that the food is going to be excellent.

Peppercorn Duck Club is actually the restaurant that I proposed to my wife. It was a wonderful night, and the best night of my life once she said yes. And this very upscale Kansas City restaurant offers you nothing but the best experience that you can possibly have. Of course you are paying for this type of service, that’s why it’s great for special occasions.

Kansas City has so many different things to offer you and great food is just one of these things. You can find amazing entertainment, there is always something to do in this city. So if you are planning a vacation to Kansas City try to soak up as much of this city as you possibly can. This city has been known to inspire many jazz musicians and you can feel some of that experience when you are visiting the nightclubs. Let’s not forget the museums, shopping and parks that can fill your days with much entertainment.

You probably are not even aware at how big Kansas actually is. I remember spending a vacation with my family. We rented an RV and went across country, Kansas was by far the largest state that we drove through. It took us about two days to drive through. But before we did we stopped in Kansas City and spent an entire day, and one night visiting this city. It was an amazing experience.

An RV vacation is great and I always loved them when I was a kid, this is the reason that I am doing the same with my own children. So I want to take a moment and help you plan your Kansas City vacation with a road trip. RV’s offer you the most accommodating and convenient was to travel. It’s great that the kids have their own space. The worst part about taking a vacation with kids is usually the time that you are spending in the car. One of them always seems to pass the time by taunting the other. And then the tables reverse and all mayhem breaks out. When you are in the RV this problem is minimized and it’s great. I am not saying that there will not be any sort of fighting at all but it will be drastically cut down to a minimum. It also does help depending on how far you live from Kansas City that you rent an RV that includes DVD players that will also help keep the children from fighting. They can watch movies and they can even hook up one of their video gaming systems, such as Xbox or Playstation.

When you are planning your Kansas City vacation it’s important that you leave yourself some time for traveling you don’t want to rush right to a campsite when you are hitting the road with an RV. But you also want to leave yourself time to soak up all of the wonderful things that Kansas City has to offer. Such as restaurants, various parks, great places to enjoy amazing entertainment. There is nothing like it. The history in this city will blow your mind. So this is why its very important that you be sure to stay in Kansas City as long as you can.

While you are visiting this wonder city that is often referred to as the “Cowtown”, has great food and you will be kicking yourself if you don’t try some of this cities amazing food.

It’s a great family place, so make sure you bring the kids, and it’s prices are extremely reasonable. This place is known for having the best beans, maybe even the best beans on earth.

Just make sure that you have extra napkins on the table before you start eating, because you will definitely need them. There is nothing like a good BBQ dinner Kansas style.

Plaza III

This well established steak restaurant has been around since 1963, so that alone says a lot about them. This is a great place to come if you are looking for a romantic night out with your loved one. The elegant atmosphere, and live music offers you the best night for you and your loved one looking to get reacquainted. There’s even a dance floor that you can enjoy after your dinner.

Just because Plaza III is known for their steak doesn’t mean you won’t find some other amazing dishes here, they have a full menu, and award-winning wine list. You will find something to your liking with no problem at all.

I was especially surprised at the amazing service that Plaza III’s had to offer, they honestly didn’t miss a thing. My favorite appetizer at this restaurant has got to be hands down the Omaha Appetizer, it’s 12 oz Prime Fillet cube, with cold grilled giant shrimp (for my husband). Every part of our mean from the app’s to desert is always great. Do me a favor though, make sure that you try your best to save room for dessert, you don’t want to miss out.

Both my husband and myself simply can’t get enough of this exceptional steak restaurant. It’s unfortunate that we don’t one in our hometown. I haven’t been there in a few months now and I think that I am well over due for one of their steaks.

Peppercorn Duck Club

Peppercorn Duck Club is another amazing upscale restaurant. The food is amazing, and the service is absolutely superb. You can expect to have more then one server waiting on you, so you never have to worry that you are going to be sitting for very long without something that you need – you have a food waiter, and a wine waiter. It’s a wonderful experience.

This is an awesome place to go for your anniversary or any other special occasion, you will not be disappointed with the Peppercorn Duck Club food, service or atmosphere.

This city feature’s thousands of restaurants that you will have no problem finding the food style that you are in the mood for at that moment – American, Italian, and even Asian.
