Kansas City is known as the "City of Fountains". It has the most fountains of any city in the world except Rome. Most of the cities fountains are located in what is known as the Plaza. In this district there is a fountain on almost every corner. It is a beautiful sight to see when strolling through the city on a beautiful spring day.

One of the things Kansas City is known for is its shopping. There are tons of stores all over Kansas City to choose from, making the entire Kansas City shopping  experience pretty amazing. Not just any shopping, and not just a bunch of stores, but true all day long shopping. The kind of shopping can start in the morning and literally stretch into the late afternoon, and you will still have places to go afterwards. There are many districts in Kansas City that offer places to shop. One of the most popular places to shop in Kansas City would have to be the Country Club Plaza or just the Plaza as it is more commonly known. This is an opportunity to see all those wonderful fountains from all eras of the city’s history. The plaza is the oldest shopping district in the city. It celebrated the districts’ 75 ^{anniversary in 1997. The Plaza is a stretch of a fourteen block area and surrounded by homes and condos of many locals. This area boasts such stores as Armani, Tiffany, BCGB. This shopping haven is also home to many local restaurants that will offer a great place to rest throughout the day of shopping and to rejuvenate you by eating a meal of gourmet proportions.}

If shopping is your dream vacation than Kansas City is where you want to be. There is not only the Plaza to go and shop at but also many other districts throughout the city in which you many shop. Different districts will offer many different types of stores and atmospheres to shop in. There is the Zona Rosa which offers shopping at such stores as Baby Gap and Forever 21. The Brookside district offers shopping at over 70 stores and shops while it is located in a neighborhood setting with an English feel to it. Chosing the Town Center Plaza to shop in would be a great place to experience. This district offers 90 upscale shops to choose from. Stores like the Pottery Barn and Bombay Co. call this district home. Throughout each of these districts there is a plethora of restaurants to choose from. Of course there are also a few malls to choose from if shopping at a mall appeals to you.

Kansas City offers many sports venues to see while on vacation. Depending on what time of year you are there or even what sports season you are there will determine of course what you can see. The Kansas City Chiefs call this city home. They play at Arrowhead Stadium. This stadium is also used by the Kansas City Wizards. So if you are a soccer fan and there during soccer season you should try to catch a game before you leave. If you are in Kansas City during baseball season then try and see a Royals game. A baseball game is an inexpensive way to pass the afternoon with the family with most games starting at around $8.

Kansas City has a wide range of things to do if you choose to visit on your vacation. With all the shopping and entertainment it is hard not to want to stay a few extra days and try to see everything the city has to offer.
