Old School Italian in Miami

I am 100% Italian and very proud of it. So when I saw the restaurant slogan- “Where Italians go for Italian,” I was a bit skeptical. This rather bold slogan was from Hosteria Romana which is an Italian restaurant overlooking the beach at the Hotel Ocean. Let me add that since the restaurant was also located on the super touristy Ocean Drive that I was even more skeptical. Ocean Drive tends to mean inflated prices and lower quality.

So I thought I would put this so called Italian food for Italians to the test. I would bring along somebody even more discerning than me when it comes to authentic Italian. As luck would have it, my very own mother was in town and up to the task.

So how did Hosteria Romana pan out? Let’s just say this place passed with flying colors!

Online Travel Marketing Internet Advertising in the Travel and Tourism Industry

So you want to get more travelers to your travel site and tourism website?  Try to spend less money on TV ads and more money on Internet travel advertising or online travel advertising.  For branding and awareness you can run some travel banner impressions to build your online presence for your travel brand or Destination.

A hotel or resort or CVB can see a higher ROI from travel clicks and travel textlinks compared to just running banners on a travel website.  The two work well together but if you have travel deals to advertise then you need to develop an online travel marketing plan.  Many firms can help you with digital strategy and Internet travel consulting.  You should work with Web 2.0 experts that understand the travel sector and tourism industry.  Your online campaign should be targeted to reach online travelers.

A travel ad network and travel advertising networks offer a good solution for your travel business or tourism organization to market and promote your offers online and through email advertising.

Luxury Travel Emails Leisure Travelers Email Advertising & Travel Database Marketing

If you are looking to advertise in an online travel email newsletter, then you can reach Internet travelers and leisure travelers and a luxury traveler.  You need to fish in new ponds to grow your own email database on your own travel site.  Email lead generation is the best way to do this.  There are millions of shysters and sketchy database companies out there so be careful and you won't get burned.  You want to work with email advertising experts who have travel email experience and travel email databases that are targeted to reach only leisure travelers or luxury travelers.

Many visitors signup for travel deals emails and travel offers via email.  They receive an email newsletter once a week or once a month with travel package deals and travel email advertising.  If you want to reach these targeted and qualified travel audiences, then pick an email database marketing company that has tourism experience and destination advertising expertise.

You can email your hotel offer or hospitality advertising to an Internet travel email database.  If you are a resort then you can reach people wanting to visit your resort and destination via email.

You can also reach travel agents and travel media as well as online travel writers and journalists.  Freelancers and freelance writers subscribe to online travel websites and email newsletters.  Email editors and newsletter writers look for new information and travel news in other travel related email newsletters.  Bloggers read other bloggers content to get ideas for their own travel blog or travel podcast.  So you can reach travel trade and press in the travel industry by emailing to the travel industry email newsletters and travel email databases.

San Diego Travel Tips Restaurant Reviews and San Diego Nightlife

San Diego is an amazing city with sunshine all year round.  The vibe is fun and casual and quite contagious.  We just returned from the San Diego Wine & Food Festival which was quite a tasty treat.  We got to sample dishes from around the San Diego area as well as meet some local San Diego restaurant owners and chefs.  We also enjoyed sipping wines and tasting San Diego chocolates.

Another fun event in town is the San Diego Film Festival where you can see new movie premieres.  Being so close to Hollywood, many stars make the hour and a half drive down to the Festival.

San Diego has so many fun things to do that you really need at least 3 days if not 5 days to see the sights.  You have Sea World with the marine life and shows.  You have the world famous San Diego Zoo.

We love the different parts of town as they each have a unique flavor all their own.  La Jolla is glitzy and Pacific Beach is casual.  Gaslamp has trendy shops and restaurants downtown for tourists and locals alike.  San Diego nightlife is very diverse with something for everyone.  San Diego bars and San Diego restaurants and dining are top notch and we have listed out some of our favorites here.

For more ideas on what to see and do in San Diego when the sun goes down, checkout our San Diego travel guides.

Listen in to our San Diego podcast for travel tips and San Diego vacation planning advice.  Your San Diego trip and weekend getaway is not complete without getting the inside scoop from San Diego locals.
