When the new moms and dads are looking for items to purchase for the nursery they have to decide if they should get a baby bedding set all ready made up for them or if they should get separates of all the blankets and sheets and such. If getting the baby bedding set is the option that the new parents will choose to get they can very well expect there to be a baby bumper for the crib, a comforter and some sheets and possibly even a few receiving blankets.  In some of the baby bedding sets you can even find some diaper stackers and a dust ruffle for the mattress.  There are plenty of different themes of baby bedding that is available and so many really adorable designs too.

If you have some concerns with items like a baby bumper for the crib because some people say they are a safety concern and if you feel like there are items in the baby bedding set that you will not really use, as a parent you may want to decide to get your baby bedding separately. If you are not going to use a lot of the items that come in the baby bedding set then you really do not need to get the whole set and it will just be a waste of your money if you did.  You can typically find the same design that you want in a set as separates.  You can simply get a comforter and some sheets for the baby bedding.  If you for some reason can not find the matching bed sheets for the baby's crib mattress you can simply choose some solid color sheets that will go along with the baby comforter. 

When you are buying some baby bedding for the nursery you should always get several crib sheets.  As a new parent you will quickly learn that there are just a few things that you can never have too many of and a crib sheet is definitely one of them.  Babies will have plenty of accidents and there will be many times when you will have to change all of the baby bedding and it is just easier for you to have several baby crib sheets for the nursery.

When you are looking for baby bedding you not only want to get the theme that you think is the cutest but you also want to make sure that the baby bedding and the crib sheets are all very soft.  A baby's skin is sensitive and you will want to make sure that everything that goes near the baby is going to be soft to the touch. This will help especially with any type of skin irritations if your baby has extremely sensitive skin.

Another wise investment when it comes to baby bedding would be a plastic crib sheet to put over the baby crib mattress.  Of course a baby crib mattress is not the same material that we as adults use for your mattresses but a plastic sheet to put over the mattress will help keep the crib mattress in good shape.  This may be an important part of your baby bedding.
