A Matching Pearl Ring For Your Necklace

Every single woman on the face of the earth that owns a pearl necklace deserves a pearl ring to match. And there is no reason that she should not have it, but it is often difficult to choose the right kind of pearl for your ring.

There are many different types of pearls such as black Tahitian Pearls, cultured pearls, freshwater pearls, natural pearls, and South Sea pearls. So what is the best type of pearl to use for your ring. Now you will need to choose the perfect pearl and there are several characteristics to selecting the right pearl and these are luster, nacre thickness, shape, surface texture, size and color.

Luster is the reflection in the pearl. High luster will mean that the light can pass through the pearl. So  a pearl that is almost completely transparent will be the best, these are hard to find and will be expensive if you do find them. One of the highest quality pearls is the Akoya pearl. The Akoya pearl is also the most affordable pearl available.

The color and overtones are nacre thickness. A good quality pearl will have the same color all around, so basically a good pearl will be evenly matched in color.

When choosing the best pearl for your ring you are going to need to check the shape and texture of the pearl. A good pearl will be perfectly round with minimal imperfections on the surface.

The size of the pearl for your ring will need to match the size pearls that are used in your necklace. The common pearl size is 7 to 7.5mm. You don’t really have to match the pearl sizes, this can be difficult. My hands are small, and if I selected the same size pearl that my necklace has then I might not be able to use my hand as easily and freely as I normally do.

Since your intentions is to match your ring with your necklace you will need to first find out exactly what type of pearls are used to craft your beautiful pearl necklace. Once you have determined this you will have now have many other decisions to make for your ring, such as what type of setting you will have, gold, silver, white gold or maybe platinum. This is totally up to you. It was an easy choice for me only because I do night like gold, platinum is way out of my price range and silver was my selection. Sometimes it can be an easy decision but sometimes it’s not, like with the design of the ring. I struggled and agonized for days over this exact thing.

A great way to get some idea’s for the design of your pearl ring is to search on the internet. I used google and had a ton of search results. You will be amazed at how many different websites there are and most of them offer some good suggestions. You want to make your ring one of a kind, so don’t use exactly what they have, rather take different idea’s and create the perfect ring design to match your pearl necklace.

It’s fun to create your own design for your ring. Black Tahitian pearls make beautiful rings, and you can always create your ring and then match your necklace to it. The choice is yours, but you deserve to have a pearl ring as well as a pearl necklace.

Have fun with your creation and remember selecting the right pearl is very important.
