Over the years audio books have become some of the most popular ways to “read” a book. Audio books years ago started out as a way to help blind people read some of their favorite stories and classic novels.  They are now used across the globe as a way for everyone to read a book.

Audio books have been made out of people’s favorite novels, Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Earnest Hemingway, and many other authors.  These classic novels have been done on audio books and can be used every where.  Many people find it hard to find time to read a good book these days.  There are soccer moms running from errand to errand and from practice to practice and then running home to prepare dinner, getting the kids ready for bed and by the time every things has settled down enough for her to relax and maybe read a book she is so exhausted from her day she falls asleep.  Of what about the business executive that works constantly and has no time for anything else.  Their family never sees them if they had enough time to even create a family and their day is packed with business meetings and conference calls.  They work sixteen to eighteen hours a day if they are lucky and have no time for anything else but the business and their job.  When do they get to enjoy reading a book?

These people living the busy lives of the day can not possibly imagine finding the time to read and enjoy a good book.  Whether it is one that is currently on the best sellers list or just a book that has been a classic for years and years, they will not be able to enjoy any book at all, their lives do not allow for time to do so.  With audio books that can change. 

People can use audio books in the “spare” time.  This is time that is used for other things. While cleaning the house or doing the ironing or baking cupcakes an audio book can be used.  You can listen to download audio books while you are driving to and from work or driving to business meetings all over the city or even on the train or subway while going to and from work.  Audio books can be used on the plane while you are traveling across the globe to other meetings you must attend.  These are all situations where instead of having a radio playing as background noise you can actually utilize your time efficiently and actually read a book again.

Audio books are like your own private showing of a play or show.  It is very similar to the days when there were no televisions and people only had radios to tell those stories.  Or even before that when there was a village story teller and everyone would gather around to be entertained.  Audio books are very often read by popular actors and actresses or by people who have very lovely voices and give your book action.  Many people can find the joys of reading a book again and they will have plenty of time in their busy lives to do so with audio books.

These audio books can also be used for self help books and for learning a new language.  Again in a busy life you can learn a new language just by using an audio book.   Or learn to let go of your past and love your self on your way to work or while cleaning the house.  Downloadable audio books make it feasible once again to read and people everywhere are enjoying them.
