It was announced today that a 2-megawatt solar energy plant will be built at Denver International Airport, the companies involved said Monday.
MMA Renewable Venturs, LLC and WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corporation announced plans to build the solar energy power plant, which is expected to be completed next year.
When completed, the solar energy power plant is forecast to generate 3.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually at DIA.
The tracking solar array energy system will be at the entrance to the Denver International Airport terminal.
WorldWater & Solar will design and install the system. MMA Renewable Venturs, LLC will own and operate the system and sell power to Denver International Airport under a long-term contract. |
