REC Solar and Mitsubishi Electric announced Wednesday the completion of two 680-kilowatt solar power systems, for the Costco Wholesale stores on Kauai and in Kona.

The systems, the biggest solar arrays in Hawaii, will generate enough electricity to power 250 homes, the companies said.

California-based REC Solar, a provider of residential and commercial solar electric systems, recently completed solar electric systems at the Costco locations in Goleta and San Luis Obispo, Calif.
