| India's XL Telecom & Energy Ltd said it has secured orders worth 1.53 bln rupees for the supply of solar panels to an unnamed power utility company in Europe.
The order raises the company's total pending order book for solar panels to 6.75 bln rupees, XL Tele said in a regulatory filing.
XL's subsidiary Saptashva in Europe is in the process of establishing solar farms for power generation in that continent, the company added.
XL Telecom has been focusing on the non-conventional energy sector, and recently on solar panels of higher capacity for niche grid connected segment. The company has been investing heavily the last 18 months to get orders from Europe and US for its products.
The order book for export of solar stands at Rs 6.75 billion. |
