There have been many St. George homes for sale over the last couple of years and the market is just getting stronger. St. George homes are very popular and are selling rather fast these days.
With the real estate market booming in St. George there has been many homes that were built recently. All of these homes need to be sold and therefore there can be some excellent deals made when purchasing a home in St. George.
The natural beauty and small town neighborly feel is a strong selling point for homes in St. George Utah. Many people desire these conditions and feel they are wonderful qualities in a place to raise their families. That is shown in the fact that St. George Utah used to be known as a retirement town and now there are more young families there than any other demographic.
St. George was first established in the 1860’s by Mormon settlers that were trying to find a place to grow cotton. Unfortunately for them St. George was not good for their cotton fields. The cotton growing idea did not stick but the Mormon settlers decided to stay in St. George any way and make it their home. Since those days St. George has grown enormously.
The natural beauty of the brick red cliffs and the black lava tubes offer a fabulous back drop for any home in the area. With all that natural beauty of the cliffs it is no wonder that there are many out door activities in St. George for the whole family to participate in. The local National park is Snow Canyon. This park area offers many trails for hikers and bikers alike. Inside the park there are trials that go through red sand dunes and cliffs to the black lava tubes of ancient times all with in minutes of each other. The drastic change in landscapes so close together offers a wonderful hiking experience. There are bike trails inside and all around the outside of the park. The whole family can enjoy a day here for a $5 fee. Many locals who regularly enjoy the park actually have a seasonal pass.
Another wonderful way to spend the day outside would have to be in one of St. George’s ten golf courses. These are all open year round and offer again the beauty of the red cliffs of St. George. With lush green grass to play on the contrast to the cliffs is beautiful.
The reason that St. George’s outdoor activities is so popular is because of the city’s climate. St. George is located in the southern tip of Utah and has what is known as a desert climate. The temperature averages around 102 degrees in July the hottest month and the average amount of rainfall the city gets is around 8 inches a year. Snow is not something you see very often in St. George. That is not to say that it never snows but it is very rare that you see snow fall in the area. If snow is desired though you could always take a few hours to drive to close by Brian Head for skiing and snow boarding.
With so many great things that are offered in St. George Utah it is no wonder why the St George real estate market there is booming. With so many great homes to find in the city you need only contact a real estate agent in the area or search on line for a home that would suit your family’s needs. St. George homes for sale is at a record high these days and anyone who is interested even a little bit should take advantage of the market while they can.
