Real estate in Utah is fast becoming the most desired in the nation. Over the years the real estate market in Utah was some what slow but over the last several years it has picked up considerably. While the rest of the United States was having a real estate boom in the years of 2000 through 2004, Utah stayed around the same. The state is now catching up to the rest of the nation over the last few years.
Utah is now drawing many people who originate from other states to their beautiful state. Utah still offers plenty of small town living in many areas. These are places where neighbors still speak to each other and there is a small town feel to living there. 40,000 people have been reported moving into the state of Utah and they are all finding the homes they have always dreamed about thanks to the prime real estate market Utah has to offer.
Salt Lake City is the largest city in the state of Utah. In this one city alone there is %88 of the whole states population. With all these people compressed into the city you would imagine that it is unsafe and hard to live there. The truth is quite the opposite. Salt Lake City is actually one of the safest places to live with one of the lowest crime rates of the nation for a city its size. Utah is also known for their very large Mormon population. In Utah %62 of the communities there belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. This is a very large portion of the community in Utah and they are very close nit. It is not hard to see why the Mormon Church has so much influence on the Utah culture.
There are many other cities to live in Utah. Cedar City and St. George are much smaller cities compared to Salt Lake City but they still offer plenty to do and a great real estate market. You can purchase a home in the St. George real estate area for around the low 200,000. St. George is great for anyone who enjoys nature. It had once been a retirement community in a way. Many people would retire here and now St. George has become a city for beginning families and younger couples. St. George offers many restaurants and entertainment. The beautiful red cliffs of the area are a big draw to many people who live here. St. George offers a desert climate and a very nice temperature year round. Also if you are a person interested in golf, St. George has ten year round golf courses and they are in the process of building more. There is also a much larger airport that is being built and is scheduled to open sometime in the year 2010.
Utah is a beautiful state and has many things to offer anyone who lives there. With so many new people moving to the state the real estate market is definitely trying to keep up but so far they are doing a fine job. The cities are all adapting to their growth well and are constantly building new schools and businesses that are needed to sustain the growth of the real estate market. Utah has many homes and businesses that are for sale and there are some great deals to be found. With a little research and time invested with the right real estate agent you could find a wonderful home in Utah very quickly.
