Tanning beds are not the safest of ways to get that sun kissed look. Everyone always wants to have a wonderful sun tan but they can not always get into the sun they way that they would like to. They decide to use a tanning bed instead of going outside. Some people even believe that a tanning bed is actually safer than the natural sun light. Well many will tell you that any kind of tanning is never good for you skin. You may at times find articles and ads that say that indoor tanning is safe and will not cause cancer, or that there are no side effects of using a tanning booth. Sometimes the tanning salon will even tell you that you can not burn or get any kind of sun damage from using a tanning bed. Now I do not like to think that people enjoy lying so I will just say that maybe these people were mis-informed and that is why they have told you these statements because they are all not true. You can absolutely get skin damage from using a tanning bed and you can run a risk of getting some type of skin cancer and you can certainly get sun burn from using a tanning bed also. It is actually more harmful to use the tanning beds because the rays from the tanning bed increase the damage done by the sunlight. The ultra violet rays makes the skin thinner and it makes the skin less able to heal properly. All of the unprotected exposure to ultra violet rays creates wrinkles in the skin way too soon. Damaged skin is more likely to sag and wrinkly than if you never tanned at all. Over time you will defiantly notice changes in your skin that you will probably not like. Of course most sixteen and eighteen year olds do not even think about what their skin will be like when they are even thirty five let alone when they are in their fifties. Too much damage can be done in the many years you tan before you realize that it is truly dangerous to your skin and even your life at times. Using tanning beds can be just as dangerous as laying out for hours in the sun. Both methods can seriously damage your skin and once that is done there is no returning to what it was before. If you really must tan you should consider using some kind of self tanning lotion or cream to create the tan you require. You can use an airbrush system to put your tan in place and keep your skin safe. This seems to be the new way to tan and people are understanding more and more the dangers of tanning. With all the warnings that have gone out over the last few years about the dangers of tanning and sun burning it is no wonder that people are becoming scared of skin damage and possibly skin cancer. Many more young people are realizing the negative effects that tanning can have on their skin and all those people who used to tan when they were younger now are feeling those negative effects on their skin. They are beginning to see all the wrinkles and the brown spots that are occurring. Once the damage has been done though there is no turning it back and the skin damage will only get worse with prolonged sun exposure. Thankfully there are more and more people that are realizing this and taking action against it. People are using a lot more of what people call fake tans. These tans in a bottle are becoming a huge success. This is because people are starting to listen to all the warnings and they are seeing what tanning beds really can do. So be safe and use only the tanning lotions and creams and stay out of the tanning beds.
