Tanning at home-how to choose the right product for you

With all of the dangers that people now say tanning can cause it is no wonder that people are looking for alternative ways to tan.  This is where they find the fake tanning methods. People can either continue to go to a tanning salon for a spray on tan or they can choose to find a product that they can use to tan at home.

Tanning at home has many benefits for you.  First of all many people may be uncomfortable going to a salon for a spray tan and with the ease of doing it your self at home people are opting for the tanning at home method.  There is however a couple of hurdles to overcome at first with tanning at home but once you solve a few of the riddles you will find that you absolutely love to tan at home.

Of course we all remember the first products years ago that you could use to tan at home.  They made you orange.  I know that at first I was terrified to use at home tanning products because I remember friends of mine using these products years ago and literally being orange, and it was not a flattering color for most of them.  But that really was a long time ago and many of the home tanning products have completely left the orange glow behind in the dust.  The newer products that allow you to tan at home will give you a lovely golden tan once it is applied.  And after trying a few you will also trust that you will not turn orange at all.

So the first thing you have to do is decide on a product that you will be able to use at home and be confident in using.  There are many tan at home products and you will have to choose one for yourself.  Now you can either look up some information online about these products and choose one like that or you can ask some of your friends and family what tan at home products they use.  But ultimately you will have to just try a few and see what ones work best for you.

There are tan at home products that you can spray on, there are tanning products that are a cream, there are even tanning products that are similar to a hair mouse.  Now some of the products of course are better than the others so you have to decide which type of tan at home product you like the best.  The spray ones are good and so are the creams and lotions.  Sometimes you may need assistance to get your back.  There are types of tan at home products that require you to use a glove of some sort when you apply it so you do not get a brown or tan palm.  Most of the products that are made today will not give you a “runny” look at all but you may find that some of the cheaper products will do that.   You will want to find a mid priced tan at home product and try to avoid the very cheap ones.  Also it is not really necessary to purchase the most expensive tan at home product on the market.  Of course you can if you want to but the majority of the mid priced products work just fine. 

You will have to try to apply the tanning product a few times at first before you can figure out the exact way that you should use it for your body and the amount that works for you so do a test area first and see how that goes.  Eventually you will be able to do all of your tanning at home and it will not be anywhere as expensive as it is in the salons.  So give it a try and you will soon find that you absolutely love tanning at home.
