Roulette is a very simple gambling game in concept and the odds and betting rules should never confuse you. To start off with you should know that the roulette wheel has thirty eight spots in the American version and thirty seven in the European version of roulette. The American version has a zero slot (0) and a double zero slot (00). The Zero slots are green in color while the rest of the numbered slots are black and red. For a tip you should remember that because the American version of the roulette table has an extra slot it will heighten the chances of you losing your bet so when you are going to play roulette you should try to find a table that has only one zero on the board. The way that you play the game of roulette is rather easy and there is not really any great skill that is needed or that you must learn. Basically the dealer will move the ivory ball and it will spin over the roulette wheel until it stops and lands on a specific number. The way that you win with roulette is to place a bet on either a certain number or color and if the ball lands on that specific bet you will win. There are a few different ways that you can bet. You can place your bets or bet on a single number or a single color. You can bet red or black and of course you will not win as much money on a bet like this compared to if you placed a bet on a single number. But the chances of you winning your bet will of course be greater. Placing bets works like this basically. There are two major types of bets, an inside bet and an outside bet. Inside bets go like this, a straight up bet, a split bet, a street bet, a corner bet, a six line, and a trio. The outside bets are these, one to eighteen, nineteen to thirty six, red or black, even or odd, dozen bets, and column bets. Outside bets are typically easier to win on and they have smaller payouts. To break down the inside and outside bets a little further you will understand how to place your bet easier. Your inside bets go like this: Straight up bets are a bet on a single number. A split bet is a bet that is placed on two numbers that are adjoining on the board. They can be adjoining either vertical or horizontal. A street bet is a bet on three numbers that are in a single horizontal line. A corner bet or a square bet is a bet that is placed on four connecting numbers at one time. A six line is a bet with two adjoining “streets” and finally a trio bet is a bet that is placed on zero, one and two or zero, two or three. These bets are the ones that will pay out higher returns and that many people really like to play. Once you have figured out what you like to bet the best you will find your own technique.
