When doing a trade show your graphics for your banner is what will set you apart from the other booths. Your trade show graphics are critical for the success of the trade show you are doing. Your graphic design must communicate your message quickly so people will see you from far away and want to see what you are about. You want to make them come to your booth and not to just keep walking.
Graphics that are strong and powerful will help communicate your message to the customers quickly. By using your logo or the brand name on a banner that is positioned appropriately more people can see it and will be drawn to it. Also by using pictures of your product; large enough to be seen from across the room; people will be intrigued and want to come over to your trade show booth and see what your product is about.
The idea when creating a trade show graphic banner is simplicity. Keep the message simple. Do not clutter the banner with unnecessary words that give the customer a ton of information. You can fill them in on all that information when they get to your booth and you both start talking. You want to use your banners to draw them in. You must use simple phases if you are going to use words. Use only your company name or logo or a photograph, a simple image. The signage will also have to be eye catching. The idea of using a photograph of someone using your product in some way or a person by themselves is genius. It allows your product to be seen in a very large view. People and potential customers will be able to see if from across a large area and be drawn to it.
Using bold colors to attract potential customers is also an important factor in trade show graphics. Plain colors that are hard to read will not draw any attention to your booth. By using colors that are bold and read well against each other you will find you receive much more traffic from people to your booth; getting them to your booth as opposed to your competitors booth. By using colors like red or blue or white on a black background your trade show signage will pop. Colors like bold greens and bright yellows and oranges will also work great on a black background. Browns and purples are beautiful colors but they just do not transfer well to signage that is used to attract people from a distance or quickly. Use colors that will work for you not against you.
Remember that the use of the graphic or signage is not to give your customers all the information about your product that is for you to do when they get to the booth. Once they get there you can hand them all the pamphlets you have and all the business cards they can carry but first GET them there to your booth! The most important thing I can stress about trade show graphics is simple, just be simple. It is the most effective tool you can use.
There are a very large number of people at these trade shows and a very large number of booths to visit. Your booth has to stand apart from other booths in order to have people stop at yours. Friendly people who talk to everyone that passes by and smiles a lot work well also but you have to get them to walk by. Use the big signs for the top of the booth so people can see it from far away but you also have to use signage for the people who are walking right in front of your booth. Something that will make them stop and look. Again the idea is simple here. Simple and bold trade show graphics will allow you to make your trade show booth a total success.
