We have just invested in the very latest HP ink jet large format printers. We have been Usinh HP5500 for the last couple of years and have been very please with them. We hope the new large format printers will big a big step forward in terms of printing speed, durability and UV stablility of the new pigment based inks. The built in spectrometer looks promising. We print a lot of pop up exhibition stands. I a client damages a single panel printing a replacement and getting the colour spot on can be almost impossible. The built in spectrometer gets over this (so we are told) watch this space.

Longer runs of posters are going to become economical with the new printers which can run at a maximum of 60m / hour for low resolution promotional posters. New markets could include motivational posters, movie posters, retail posters as well as backlight posters for light box window displays.

Large format printers make full colour one off and short run poster printing for indoor or outdoor use affordable. We print direct from disc so no time delays or set up costs. Full colour high impact posters are printed using vibrant durable high quality pigment based HP inks. New medias are being added to complement these printers. We have only had the printers a couple of days but have experienced some compatibility issues with the new inks and old media.

The increased capacilty these large format digital printers afford mean we have just ordered a zund flat bed cutter. Ill obviously update the progress of the new printers and the Zund flat bed when it arrives. More information is available on custom posters our digital display printing site
