One of the hardest things to provide for a trade show is crowd control.  Well it is not really hard to provide crowd control you just have to provide the man power to enforce it.  The majority of crowd control at trade shows and other big events is usually done with retractable barriers and crowd control stanchions.

Retractable barriers and crowd control stanchions can truly help in the situation of crowd control.  You can put these retractable barriers up so people know where to go and where they are not allowed to go at all.  Crowd control can be very important because no one involved with the trade show or a concert or any other type of event wants anything to do with an injury of any kind to anyone that comes to participate in the event.  They want the event to go off with out any injury to anyone who comes there.  Injuries and especially deaths can have an extremely adverse effect on the trade show and no one wants that kind of publicity.  Not to mention the fact that there would loss of human life and no one really wants that.

Crowd control is probably the most important factor of a trade show.  Now of course all of the vendors and all of the booths are also important considering they make up the trade show but without the crowd control and the retractable barriers there would be a mess of people at the event and there could be a lot of serious injuries or worse going on.

Crowd control can be used to show people where to go and where not to go.  For instance in a situation where there is an area where there is not to be anyone entering, like an area with a lot of live wires or some other kind of dangerous area, retractable barriers can be used so every one knows that there is no entrance to the area.  Retractable barriers can also be used in the front to show people where to line up and go inside.  Once inside these same retractable barriers can be used to corral people into areas in front of certain booths or displays.  This way they can all see it in an orderly fashion and there is no question about how close they can get to the display or booth.  People tend to know not to cross these retractable barriers or ropes and posts.  We know that when we see these retractable barriers or ropes and posts that we are to line up in an orderly fashion and not to cut ahead or push or shove.  Well at least most people know this and do not have to be told, but sometimes there may be some rowdy people and that is the hard part of crowd control.  The ropes and posts and the retractable barriers can only do so much but at some points there has to be some human interaction if people get out of hand.

Crowd control is a part of people feeling safe at all kinds of big events and trade shows. No one will attend if they know at the last show their was no kind of crowd control and some one got hurt. There will be a considerably less of a turn out if something like that occurred.  That is why crowd control is important.  Using ropes and posts and retractable barriers may seem like nothing much but it really is the most efficient way to handle crowd control and also it is an easy and some what inexpensive tool to use.
