The other way that retractable barriers are used when there are more serious issues can really help to save lives.  Many law enforcement agencies will use retractable barriers and also many construction sites will have any number of retractable barriers around them.  These are two places where the use of retractable barriers can save lives.  If there was an accident or a incident that the police need everyone to clear a certain area then by using retractable barriers the on lookers will know that they should not cross the retractable barrier because their life can be in danger if they do.  They are to keep back from the scene and then they will be safe.  The same is true of retractable barriers that are found on construction sites.  These sites will typically use retractable barriers when there are some dangerous areas.  There could be buildings with no floors yet and a fall could kill you.  There could be any number of dangerous scenarios on a construction site and retractable barriers can be used to make sure that everyone in the area knows that is can be dangerous.
