How to Add Some Fun to Your Treadmill Workouts - 09:25, 2007-Sep-3

Treadmill workouts can be boring...very boring.  Sometimes that's good.  If you have other things on your mind and just want to put your time in and get some exercise, that's great.  But other times you really want to be fully engaged and try some different activities just to vary your workout.

First of all varying the speed can make things more interesting.  Start out slowly until you are warmed up.  Then kick it up a notch to a faster walk.  Then do a slow jog for several minutes.  Slow it back down for about five minutes or until you feel somewhat rested.  Then speed up for a brief sprint.  After that, it's time to slow it back down to a comfortable walking pace.
